These are great - I used to use the square deal 4mm polyethylene sleeves, but the last few batches have been cut short or had the dimensions for width and length reversed. As a result, 1/8”-1/16” of the record jacket sticks out above the end of the sleeve. Which makes them kind of useless for the purpose of protecting the album - I picked up a pack of these (which to be fair cost about double, or more per sleeve as opposed to the square deal 100 packs) and the dimensions have been spot on. Since then I have bought probably 6 packs of the 50’s. I wish they came in 100 / 500 packs, and that the price wasn’t over double of other sleeves that have comparable thickness. But you get what you pay for I guess. At least the size and thickness is always spot on, and have yet to encounter one that splits on the seem!
I’ve purchased roughly 15 of these toploaders so far and they are absolutely amazing. I use these for my higher valued records as well as pair them with the Vinyl Supply Co. Soft Outter Sleeves. They protect the records from receiving any shelf wear or wear and tear damage, as well as provide an ultra clear finish that doesn’t distort the jacket from being properly displayed while playing. Will continue to purchase these products as long as I continue to collect vinyls. Protect your investments!
I use these to clean records with my record. Cleaning machine works perfect.
This is actually the second slipmat I have tried for my turntable. The other mat was a highly-reviewed one made out of acrylic that can be picked up at many stores. This one is thinner and has a more aggressive look due to the carbon fiber. The end result of both is somewhat similar - to me the vinyl sounds a little more sharp and clear. While I hear a difference when adding the slipmat, I do not pick up enough of a distinct difference between the two I have. Both seem good. Regardless, recommended for audiophiles.
